Sliding Through Summer

Tonight after DaDa got off work, we went over to take Grandma out to dinner. Cousin Kennedy, John John and their parents were on their way out.

Cousin Kennedy is a year and a half older than Kelly. They represent both ends of the growth curve.

L&S, our friends and Grandma's neighbors joined us on the spur of the moment. After dinner, we stopped off at a park to burn off some toddler energy...

Our friends L&S standing by the tall slide in the park. This was the first time that Kelly (with a little coaxing) worked up the nerve to go down the biggest slide...

...and she liked it...

After conquering the big slide, Kelly wanted to try the climbing wall. She doesn't yet have quite the reach for all the holds, but she did very well with just a little bit of help from her spotter. Each time she made it to the top, she'd turn around, look down and laugh a hearty laugh.

How much fun! I can't believe how tiny Kelly looks next to Kennedy. Wow!

Note: Kennedy comes from tall people. Her Dad is 6'3" and her Mom is almost six feet.
