Hill Country Excursion

Today we took a detour from our city life and visited the hill country. It's about a 20 minute drive from our house.

We went to a small town and strolled up and down main street (every small town has a main street). The weather was nice. It was very breezy.

Kelly hadn't been in her Snugli (except for her doctor visit) for quite some time. She did pretty good. She is not a fussy baby when it comes to traveling.

Here is our family portrait for the day. See Kelly waving. She is so excited every time she sees her shadow.

We like visiting the past in the old antique shops. We like to play, "What's that? and what the heck was it used for?"

We visited the Christmas Shoppe that is open year round. They specialize in seasonal decorations. Kelly kept waving her hand back and forth signaling to us that it was shiny and glittery.

Grandma, Kelly and MaMa sitting on a bench on Main Street.

Love the shadow portrait, but love the shot of Juliet and Kelly more. What beautiful expressions on both your faces.

Can you send some of that sunshine (and warm temperatures) north?
Pretty please?

I second his sentiment: Let's go back to China!
