Big Day

Today we took Kelly to the doctor. Here she is waving at her shadow in the parking lot.

She was fine in the waiting room watching all the other little kids. As soon as we walked into the exam room she started to squirm and then the water works began. The doctor gave her a tongue depressor and Kelly hung on tightly to it until we pried it out of her hand about half an hour later.

She had a lump on the back of her head down by the hairline on the left side. The doctor felt her head and told us it was a swollen lymph node. We didn't know we had lymph nodes there. She also showed us and checked Kelly's lymph nodes at her bikini line (another place we did not know there were lymph nodes).

The doctor said they were swollen because Kelly was congested. Wow! We learned something today.

After the doctor, DaDa took us to have an ice cream treat and then to the park.
This was Kelly's first time on a swing.
She liked it!
