The Coast

DaDa had no projects on his plate and Kelly was out of school so to the coast we went.

We stopped at some shops.

Making castles.

That brown stuff is seaweed. It was the worst it had ever been. Texas does not clean it up. It is organic and so they leave it to compost.

Some areas of seaweed where about a foot and a half.

Kelly jumping around.

We found a spot that was low enough in seaweed to trample over.

Family portrait at the beach.

Kelly was dying to get in the water. On closer inspection we found the water was brown and carrying a lot of seaweed.

Kelly loves bikinis and she hates anything covering her belly button.

Self timer, self portrait.

Ready to go back to civilization.

We took the ferry back.

Kelly was very excited and loves the beach.

Here we go.

Kelly really excited.

This was Kelly most of the way to the beach and most of the way home.

Still not all the way awake.

The Lone Star Flag.

We stopped at DQ for a snack.

What a great day Kelly had with her parents. There was a lot of seaweed, but that didn't stop us from having a wonderful day away from our daily routine. A seaweed filled beach beats any day at the office.

Lovely Texas skies.
