Friday Playdate

This morning we got an early call, "I just dropped the kids off at their schools. Lets meet for a play date" said Ollie's mother.

The kids ran around in the new play ground with the others.

Ollie wanted to hold Kelly's hand most of the time. "Mommy! He's holding my hand too tight!" said Kelly. "Ollie don't hold her hand so tight! Be gentle! She's a girl" said Ollie's Mom. "He is so used to being with his older brothers and being rough" she said.
Ollie brought bread crumbs to feed the ducks.
Neither one would let go of the bread bag.

It was fun to feed the ducks.

We watched the water roar.

more play time.

snack time.

A quick pic.

more than an old stump.

They had a grand old time.

We saw this old WWll looking vehicle.

We made some Capidotada (Spanish Bread Pudding) today. We make it during Lent. We took half over to Grandma's house. She had Tia Bibie and other people there. They are installing a new walk in shower. Then we called Tio Peep (Uncle Steve) to see if they would like some fresh out of the oven Capidotada. He said they were going to the Fish Fry at the church, wouldn't have time and would come by in the morning for some.

Ring, Ring! a few minutes later: "We're coming over tonight to get some!" DaDa and MaMa just laughed as we know it is hard to resist this special home made family dish.

The kids got to play for a while and Tio Peep was served a piece and then got up and served himself another helping. His wife said, "No, thanks I'm on a diet. I'll just have a little bite off Steve's." Her 3 bites later, Steve said, " Why don't you get your own plate this is mine!" Tio Steve also went home with a heaping serving. He was happy.

Oh, how sweet is the picture of the two of them holding hands? What a fun day you had!

Cool jewelry in the top shot, too!
